Helping plan my sister's wedding is tough.
She wants 150 guests or so, she wants the bridesmaids to wear black, but wants bright flowers..I'm concerned...at first she wanted me to wear fake eyelashes and a black one shoulder dress with a huge pink bow on it.
but its her wedding, so its her choices.
I think if I ever get married I'd have a small one in a clearing in the middle of the woods in September or October or something like they used to do when people just lived and hunted and farmed a…

Readjusting to living back here is really really really hard after 5 months in Australia.
I'm really scared I've messed things up pretty badly..I was too concerned with what it means to be successful to other people and not what it means to me and it totally freaks me out, because I'm all set up for having a career and all, but I don't think its really what I want, I don't want to spend my only life inside a building all day, 5 days a week, doing meaningless tasks, with only 2 weeks a year to t…

Soooo back in June when I was flying home from Australia, Qantas.. you know the airline that recently almost killed people flying to London when some oxygen tank I guess exploded leaving a hole in the side of the plane??
Luckilyyyyy that didn't happen to me. But. When I flew to New Zealand my plane was delayed 4 hours. And then 7 days later, my flight to LAX was delayed 5 hours. To make matters worse, a flight attended grabbed my carry on and threw it in the overhead when I had taken it out, w…

So...Queenstown was fantastic, I'd love to move there. Every other store is a ski shop, I have some beautiful pictures on myspace since I don't want to clutter this site's front page anymore with my pictures/face. But, seriously, pictures cannot possibly capture how beautiful of a country New Zealand is. Its fresh and clean and remote.
The morning after....my last blog
I got up around 5am and seeing as the hostel had put me in a room again with 5 guys, I decided it would be a good idea to dry…

I had 5 nuns staring me down in the Avalon airport in my hot pink tights. Before this I was told by the train station "police" at Southern Cross that I wasn't allowed to take a nap on the bench while waiting for the shuttle. I was one of two people in the station. Seinfeld moment.
I saw the Opera House and climbed the bridge.
I partied until 5am
A big group of scottish people, one decked in kilt were on my dinner cruise.
Then I flew to Mel.
The next day my flight to Auckland was delayed 3+…

Ok I don't. and I really can't wait to go, I mean it was really unplanned and all.
but reallly. I guess I shouldn't have been so shocked at the fact that there is only one bus out of Auckland to Waitomo, even though its one of the North Island's major tourist attractions. And this bus just so happens to leave at 8:15am when my flight arrives at 4:15pm ouch right?
soooo I might spend a billion more dollars that I don't currently have on changing my flight once again, to Queenstown on the South…

Its a good day when you give a presentation to Australians on what Australians like to do for fun (so of course I'm nervous right, I mean they'd know better than me) , and your Professor who has a Ph.D. and what not, is impressed by it and wants you to send him the charts you found.
And then! You find out there is a huge sale at Chadstone, (high end mall place, I mean I can barely afford the "low end' stuff, ie hoodies cost $100Au). And not only is there a huge sale, the two dresses you've been…

I'm ready to get OUT of Australia. I've enjoyed it here, but I really want to be home. Class is almost over thankfully. Had my American Music & Popular Culture final exam last monday. I know, it sounds like a joke that I'm taking that class in Australia, but it was actually a really hard class. It makes me never want to listen to any form of jazz again. So tomorrow its a presentation on what Australian's do in their leisure time, in front of a group of Australian students and Ph.D.'s, a fina…

Every moment is golden, a treasure of experience, the world is at our feet
We have to learn to love, let go of our control, give in to the visions we see
Clear view of reality without filters or distortion of faulty senses in the past
Be right here in the now where stories unfold and true knowledge grasps
You as a self, as THE self, have all the responsibility to not hold back
You as the lover need to give all the secrets we have held from each other back
It doesn't matter what they are doing wi…

Living is simple
Every situation becomes familiar with time
Time combines into a stream of endless experience
Experience brings us closer to loving our environment
Environment is an extension of our mind into grosser forms of matter
Matter is so easy to love when you concentrate
Concentration brings the mind into focus of the connection we have to the absolute
Absolute is always relative to our Self
Self love is simple

I believe in the connection we have together as one mind relative to the absolute I AM. We are emanations from the same source and are always in touch with that source which we can always draw from. Last year I woke up through a period of time spanning a few months to a year, I can't draw the exact points in time that it began and not sure that it will ever end. I finally saw the stars, not just see, but felt my connection into the ground and up to the universe and beyond. I felt like I actually…

I do not love you except because I love you;
I go from loving to not loving you,
from waiting to not waiting for you
my heart moves from cold to fire.
I love you only because it's you the one I love;
I hate you deeply, and hating you
bend to you, and the measure of my changing love for you
is that I do not see you but love you blindly.
Maybe January light will consume
my heart with its cruel
ray, stealing my key to true calm.…
